Frequently asked questions

Why does my dog specifically need a 'senior' supplement?

Just like with humans, a dog's metabolism changes as they get older. From around 7 years of age (depending on the breed), joints can become stiffer and digestion less efficient. Our supplements are dosed with active ingredients that support these specific age-related ailments, without overloading the body with unnecessary additives.

How quickly can I expect results with my dog?

Every body is unique, but on average, most owners see a positive difference in vitality, stool consistency, or mobility within 2 to 4 weeks. For optimal results, consistency is essential; administer the supplement daily as part of their routine.

Are Florian & Co. supplements safe to use alongside medication from the vet?

Our supplements are formulated with natural, high-quality ingredients. While they are, of course, very safe, at Florian & Co. we always advise you to consult with your veterinarian if your dog is already on a specific medical treatment plan. Your dog's safety and health are our top priorities.

What if my dog is a picky eater?

We know that seniors can sometimes become a bit pickier. That's why at Florian & Co. we deliberately chose a base of fish. Unlike common proteins such as beef, lamb, or chicken, fish is naturally hypoallergenic and has a stronger aroma.

Of course, taste remains something personal, just as one person loves pizza and another prefers to eat a steak, every dog has its own preference. But with our fish-based 'soft chew,' we offer a taste experience that even the most critical connoisseur usually can't resist.

Still not working? Then try these tips from our experts:

  • Crumble: Simply mix the soft 'chew' into their daily meal.
  • The "Snack Trick": Hide the treat in a small piece of their favorite healthy snack.
  • Aroma Boost: Briefly rub the treat between your warm hands; the natural aromas of the fish will then be released even more strongly, stimulating their appetite.
Do the supplements contain grains or added sugars?

No. We believe in pure support. The Florian & Co. line is completely grain-free and contains no added sugars, artificial colours, or flavourings. This is crucial for older dogs, who often react more sensitively to fillers and allergens.

Are Florian & Co. supplements also suitable for my dog if it is younger than 7 years old?

Yes, absolutely. While our formulas have been specifically developed with the needs of seniors in mind, they are safe and effective for dogs of almost any age. Our ingredients support vital processes, such as healthy digestion and supple joints, which are important for every adult dog. You can therefore use the supplements exceptionally well preventively to give your dog extra support from a young age and keep him vital and fit for as long as possible.

Please note that our supplements are not suitable for puppies younger than 4 months. As with any dietary supplement: if you have a dog with specific medical needs or are unsure about the dosage for a younger dog? We always advise you to consult your veterinarian.
